I went in for my 37 week appointment. My belly is measuring 40 weeks which has been fairly normal for me. Peanut’s heartbeat was 140bpm.
I am 1cm dilated and 75% effaced. I have to start somewhere right? She said he really needs to drop into my pelvis which he hasn’t done yet. She said walking can help. I just need to be patient right now but my body is starting the process. Being a big baby she is hoping that checking my cervix will help to speed things along. I’m hoping I go before my due date. I know I’m ready. The room is ready for his arrival. My body is exhausted and ready for him to come out. And emotionally I am very ready. I am so looking forward to seeing my rainbow baby. Am I ready to be up every 2 hours to feed him? The answer is yes. I’ve wanted this for so long. Peanut, whenever you are ready to make your appearance into this world I’m ready for you.
If I don’t write again soon, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I’m so blessed to have found this community and I know there are days I couldn’t have gotten through life without all of you. We are having a quiet morning at home, followed by pancakes with my husband’s mom at our house and then off to my parent’s house for the evening. Luckily we don’t have to drive too far. I’m looking forward to a quiet Christmas spent with family.

I am feeling the SAME way. I have been measuring larger than dates for a while...3 to 4 weeks bigger, which explains the discomfort! I really hope that all progresses normally and with ease! Don't worry about big babies. I firmly believe that your body will grow the exact size baby it should. My second was 10 lbs 13 oz. and his was the shortest of all my labors ~ go figure.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you. What an awesome gift you'll have right around this time! Thank you for being such a hope and source of encouragement to me these past few months by just simply sharing your story.

Eeek! 37 weeks! It's just around the corner! R was born at 38 weeks, and not a moment too soon! Good luck and have a very Merry Christmas. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for progress!!! You sound like you're progressing very similarly - I think we have twin pregnancies - we have so much in common with these pregnancies and these babies!
