Peanut's Due Date is Today

I remember when I took my pregnancy test on April 30th, 2010. My husband and I were cautiously optimistic about this third pregnancy. We discovered that if this baby went full term, January 9, 2011 would be the baby's due date. And here we are on January 9, 2011. What a journey this has been.

I want to thank all of you for your insight and support on my last post. My husband and I are remaining positive. I know I will do whatever to get Peanut into this world, even if that means having a c-section. This little boy is worth it. I know its not how I have envisioned bringing him into this world, but I will do it for him.

I still haven't dropped yet but know there is still hope. I'm looking forward to my appointment on Tuesday to see where we go from here. Every night when I go to bed I tell my husband I want to go into labor. I want to meet Peanut so much. I told him I'm afraid when they let me hold him for the first time I won't want to give him back to the doctor's so they can get him cleaned and checked out. I've wanted for so long to hold him and experience that moment.

Will keep you posted on if anything happens. Thanks again ladies for all your support. I couldn't have gotten through this long journey without all of you.

Also here is a photo of me at 40 weeks....I don't think my belly can get much bigger!

  3. I am so excited for you! And I am in the same boat. Each night I am praying that I get to start labor! Strange that it just doesn't work that way. I need to post a photo too, as I am as big if not BIGGER than you! You look amazing, and how is your butt still so tiny?

  4. Happy due date!!!! Your belly looks awesome - I don't see a single stretch mark! :)

Do babies always have to drop before labor starts? I thought I read somewhere that many times labor is what causes them to finally engage.

My birth class instructor who's a doula gave me some great advice - she said "just trust your baby!" She reminded me that we've both come a long way, and baby is working on preparation for birth too, so just talk to him and trust him! :)

I don't know if you're planing on breastfeeding or not, but if you are and you need any help, let me know. I know that when I first started I needed all the help I could get.

I can't wait to *meet* your little guy!
