I’m still trying to take it all in that our baby is healthy. We put one of the ultrasound photos on the fridge. Maybe looking at it more will make it more real.
Yesterday was probably my worse day of feeling sick (which I’m thankful for though looking forward to the 2nd trimester). And I’m so exhausted. I woke up a lot last night but when I was sleeping I slept hard.
We expanded our news and told our immediate family (all parents and siblings). It felt good to share it but at the same time it scared me. I still have in my mind that I can lose this baby. I know nothing is every definite until this baby is born. I remember when Liam was born I breathed a sigh of relief. I will do the same for this baby.
I’m still eating every two hours and honestly can say I’m sick of eating. It gets old. I’ve been really trying to eat healthy. My morning snack consists of raisins and yogurt. My afternoon snack consists of strawberries/blueberries with cottage cheese and sometimes green beans. I’m really craving salty stuff this time around, in particular chips. With Liam I was really into the sweets. Though a bowl of vanilla ice cream has really been hitting the spot some nights!
I’ve decided it’s time to take the belly band out (though I haven’t quite yet). My pants in the afternoon are getting really tight. I’ve opted for a rubber band I found at work to use for now. Maybe taking out the belly band will make it more real for me. Sometimes I feel like I’m dreaming again. I felt the same way when we discovered Liam was growing early on in my pregnancy.
My hubby and I are working on a nickname for him/her until this baby is born. Of course “Peanut” was Liam so no using that again. We used “Nugget” for Grace. I still love that name. I have thought of using it again to carry on her legacy and be a reminder of her but then at the same time I don’t want to take that name away from her. We will probably find another one. I know it helped a lot when talking about the baby instead of saying him/her all the time. Stay tuned for a name soon!
