A Fall and Sweetpea Progress

Being pregnant and falling in the shower don’t mix.  I was shaving my legs in the shower two weeks ago and my foot slipped.  I fell onto my right side.  It hurt and was pretty loud.  I was so concerned about Sweetpea being ok.  He was quieter than usual in the morning but started to be more active in the afternoon.  I could see and feel him kicking in the afternoon.  I told him I loved him.  I’ve never wanted so much to see him active.

I was hurting from fall.  It was my neck and upper back.  I ice it per my chiropractor and that seemed to really help.  I would deal with this pain any day to know that Sweetpea is ok.  I can tell you I’m going to be extra cautious in the shower going forward.

I have to say Sweetpea is a machine!  I tell my husband he has attitude!  I can only imagine what he is going to be like when he is born.  He moves a lot and sometime it hurts.  But it’s a good hurt knowing he is healthy and active.  I love feeling him cruise around and it increases our bond as mother and son.

Wednesday marks 27 weeks.  Sometimes I feel we don’t have much time left to get everything ready but at the same time I think, 13 more weeks?  My belly is big and I’m not sure where he intends to go for another 13 weeks.  I’m really uncomfortable at night.   I feel like my belly is stretching to its max after we are relaxing after dinner.

I’m getting really excited about his arrival.  I can’t wait to see his precious face.  I’ve gone through all Liam’s clothes and washed the ones Sweetpea can wear and have hung them in his room.  It makes it feel more real.  Last night we took Liam’s changing table out of his room and into Sweetpea’s room.  Liam really wanted to be a part of it.  We are trying to slowly make changes in Liam’s life for the arrival of his brother.  We are hoping his big boy bed is delivered next week.  I got him some sheets and bedding with trucks and planes on it and he loved it!  We are trying to make every transition fun and exciting for him and making him part of it.

I hope you all have a Happy 4th.  I’m looking forward to a long 4 day weekend.  I’ve been feeling so burnt out at work these days.
